Parents need to know that LINE WEBTOON – Daily Comics is a platform for reading and commenting on user-submitted comics/serial graphic novels. The terms of service stipulate that users must be 14+ and that users who are minors must have permission from an appropriate adult (i.e. parent or guardian).

Line Webtoon Review

The app pairs with a website where users can upload their own content. There are content guidelines that restrict certain types of graphic content, but what’s appropriate seems quite broad. In addition, comics are immediately published without going through a moderation process. Inappropriate content can be flagged by users, but may take a while before it’s removed.

Comics are always Fun

While there are a wide range of comic genres, there’s plenty of graphic violence (i.e. hitting a zombie with a golf club and seeing an eyeball pop out), sexuality, language, etc. The comics deal with mature styles overall. Remarks are also not moderated and may have unacceptable content before being flagged. Read the developer’s privacy policy for details on how your (or your kids’) information is collected, used, and shared and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and conditions of service frequently change.

Daily Comics

LINE WEBTOON – DAILY COMICS is the companion app to the website of the same name. It functions as an e-reader for the large collection of user-generated serial comics that are uploaded to the site. Kids can browse various genres (romance, illusion, horror, superhero, sports, Sci-Fi, thriller, comedy, historical, etc.), subscribe to favorites, and leave comments on each show.

Those who want to share their own comics will need to do so on the web site. The application (and site) are Koreand the content has an overwhelmingly anime flair with quite a lot of fantasy elements. There’s no automated moderation to go along with the community recommendations; much of the moderation comes from community reporting.
Therefore For adult fans of serial comics, anime, and image novels, this is an absolute feast of storytelling and illustration, but it’s not for kids.

As with any user-generated content, LINE WEBTOON – Daily Comics has a range of quality, but there are certainly stories to match an array of interests. The platform is simple to use and understand and there’s a lot of community engagement, including users who help translate comics into other languages. However With all that said, this is a system with mature content intended for mature readers and it behaves accordingly. Furthermore Moderation relies heavily on user reporting, and there seems to be no one watching to make sure users are being kind to authors or each other unless someone reports otherwise. It’s highly recommended, just not for kids.

Family Protection

Families can talk about the romantic relationships depicted in the LINE WEBTOON – Daily comics. What about in real life? Now, What are behaviors you expect to see from friends and passionate partners? So , What exactly are behaviors that aren’t acceptable for you? What can you do if a friend or romanic partner displays unacceptable behavior?
Talk about assault in the comics and press in general. How much is too much? Does it affect people’s face-to-face relationships?
Discuss community moderation. What is it possible to do if the thing is something that you think is incorrect for the community? What do you do if you receive or see feedback that are threatening or too personal? How can you make sure your contributions to the city are appropriate and within suggestions?
